The "Science in the Public Service" Campaign has entered the 3rd year. Over the past few months, the Campaign organized several activities, including a Lecture Series for the Senior Management in November 2007, scientific talks at the Science Museum since mid-2007, and an open day for 4 government facilities on 20 January 2008.
Recently, we have just completed adjudication of the Student Project Competition. The competition was well received with submission from over 100 teams from primary and secondary schools. The judge panel consisted of university professors and professionals in the government. The prize presentation ceremony is scheduled for 28 June 2008 at the Science Museum.
For the second half of 2008, the Campaign will organize a talk series at the Science Museum. There will be at least two talks each month from July to December. Stay tuned.
Towards the end of this year, a Fun Fair will be held on 14-16 November 2008 at the Victoria Park. The programme will include game booths, stage performances, competitions and some very interesting exhibits, large and small. Partners of the Campaign as well as tertiary institutions will take part in this meaningful event.
Details of Campaign activities can be found at http://www.science.gov.hk.
