The results of the Essay Competition organized by the Science in the Public Service Campaign have been announced. More than 300 entries were received and those awarded were of high quality. The award presentation will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, 13 January 2007, to commemorate the 1st Anniversary of the Campaign. The ceremony will be held at the Conference Hall, G/F, Centenary Building of the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters. Prizewinners will attend lunch with renowned scientists.
Campaign activities will conclude this year with a popular science talk on 16 December at the Lecture Hall, Science Museum, Tsimshatsui. The topic will be on the Hong Kong Shenzhen Western Corridor - an Innovative Boundary Crossing. Seats will be first come, first serve.
Soon as the partner departments decided that the Campaign should continue in the future, 10 government bureaux/departments have joined, making a total of over 40 partners in the Campaign. We are planning activities for the next year. We count on your continuous support.
