"Science in the Public Service" Campaign Newsletter

 

As essay competition is being held under the "Science in the Public Service" Campaign and the submission deadline is 30 September 2006. Apart from generous prizes, winners may be invited to have lunch with renowned scientists. Please grab this final opportunity to join.

Eighteen episodes of the RTHK programme - "A New Scientific Hong Kong" came to an end in August. The scientific work of various departments was introduced in the form of a radio drama. Please click into the RTHK archive or the Campaign webpage for a replay.

There will be 3 more Scientific Talks this year (to be conducted in Cantonese), to be held at the Lecture Theatre of the Science Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui on 14 October, 11 November and 16 December respectively. The topics include Analytical Science in Consumer Protection, Conservation of Sea Turtles in Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Shenzhen Western Corridor - an Innovative Boundary Crossing. Seats will be first come, first served.

Also, the Organizing Committee of "Science in the Public Service" has decided that this meaningful campaign should continue. We will update you with the latest development and news. Please continue to support the various Campaign activities.
